The ElderGuard Cyber Senior Scam Education and Prevention Program is an engaging educational initiative designed to raise awareness and reduce the risk of scams targeting older adults. The program combines education with hands-on IT support and can be delivered in a flexible format: typically 1–2 in-person sessions followed by an optional webinar for continued support.

Anyone who wants to better understand today’s digital threats and how to prevent them, including patients, residents, staff, and family members.

• Interactive audience discussion to share experiences and questions

• A live demonstration of Deep Cover — a free mobile app developed by DART Collective with support from the National Science Foundation

• Hands-on guidance for downloading and using the app, with one-on-one support available depending on facility policies

• Duration: ~60 minutes

• Delivery: In-person (1–2 sessions) + optional follow-up webinar

• Includes a brief post-session survey to capture feedback
